오늘 새벽, 목사님께서 요한복음 1장을 강해하셨습니다. 목사님께서는 우리가 요한복음에 대해 너무 익숙하다고 착각하여, 오히려 복음을 받아들이는 데 어려움을 겪을 수 있다고 지적하셨습니다. 요한이 복음을 기록한 목적은 분명히 읽는 자들이 구원받게 하려 함이라고 강조하셨습니다. "오직 이것을 기록함은 너희로 예수께서 하나님의 아들 그리스도이심을 믿게 하고 또 너희로 믿고 그 이름을 힘입어 생명을 얻게 하려 함이니라" (요한복음 20:31).

오늘 본문에서는 예수님께서 제자들을 부르시는 장면이 묘사되어 있습니다. 사람들은 저마다 다른 호칭으로 예수님을 불렀는데, 이는 각자 예수님을 만난 순간의 느낌을 다르게 표현한 것입니다. 중요한 점은 그들이 큰 모임이 아닌, 주변 사람들의 권유나 개인적인 만남을 통해 예수님을 만났다는 것입니다. 예수님께서는 "와서 보라"는 초대로 시작하셨습니다. 오후 4시, 그들은 예수님과 저녁 내내 함께 시간을 보냈습니다.

좋은 것을 만났을 때, 가만히 있을 수 없는 것이 사람의 본성입니다. 그들은 주변 사람들에게 예수님에 대해 이야기할 수밖에 없었습니다. 예수님의 제자로 살아가는 것은 어떤 지식이 아니라, 예수님을 직접 와서 보는 경험에서 시작됩니다. 예수님과의 사귐을 통해 우리는 새로운 정체성을 얻게 됩니다. 죄와 교만으로 하나님께 나아갈 수 없었던 우리가 예수님을 통해 하나님께 나아갈 수 있게 되었습니다. 예수님께서는 인자 위에 하나님의 사자들이 오르내리는 것을 보게 될 것이라고 말씀하시며, 자신이 우리의 중보자가 되심을 선포하셨습니다. "진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 하늘이 열리고 하나님의 사자들이 인자 위에 오르락 내리락 하는 것을 보리라 하시니라" (요한복음 1:51).

This morning, the pastor lectured on John chapter 1. The pastor pointed out that we often mistakenly believe we are too familiar with the Gospel of John, which can hinder us from accepting the gospel. He emphasized that John's purpose in writing the gospel was clearly to have the readers be saved. "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name" (John 20:31).

Today's passage depicts Jesus calling his disciples. People called Jesus by different titles, each expressing their different feelings at the moment they met Jesus. The important thing is that they met Jesus not in large gatherings, but through the recommendations of people around them or personal encounters. Jesus began with the invitation to "Come and see." At 4 p.m., they spent the whole evening with Jesus.

When people encounter something good, it is human nature that they cannot stay still. They couldn't help but tell the people around them about Jesus. Living as a disciple of Jesus begins not with any knowledge, but with the experience of coming and seeing Jesus for yourself. Through fellowship with Jesus, we gain a new identity. We, who could not approach God because of sin and pride, have become able to approach God through Jesus. Jesus said that he would see the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man, declaring that he is our mediator. "Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man" (John 1:51).

오늘 목사님의 강해를 통해 요한복음의 깊이를 다시 깨닫게 해주셔서 감사합니다. 예수님을 만나는 다양한 방식과 "와서 보라"는 초대는 우리 각자의 삶 속에서 예수님을 경험하고 그 사랑을 나누도록 격려합니다. 요한복음 1장 41절처럼, 우리가 예수님을 만난 기쁨을 주변 사람들에게 전하며, 예수님과의 사귐을 통해 새로운 정체성을 발견하고 하나님의 사랑을 전하는 삶을 살아가기를 축복합니다.
